The Bank of Japan has done something (words I have not written for years). Today’s Bank of Japan meeting increased the upper limit for its 10-year government bond target from 0.25% to 0.5%. Bank of Japan Governor Kuroda said it is not a rate hike, but a rate the Bank of Japan targets is higher today than it was yesterday.
