How to Save Money on Your Wedding

The One Fab Day Wedding Podcast - En podcast av Rebecca Horan - Måndagar

In episode 29 of The One Fab Day Wedding Podcast, we're talking about an issue that almost every engaged couple struggles with - keeping costs down during wedding planning! No matter how big or small the pot of cash you're working with, and no matter how extravagant or simple your dream wedding is, it's only natural that you'll want to get bang for your buck on the big day, and reign in the spending where possible! In this episode, we're helping you do just that, by delivering a practical guide to wedding budgeting, and sharing our top wedding money saving tips! Episode Breakdown: Episode 29: How to Save Money on Your Wedding Wedding tip: Celina's nugget of wisdom this week is to decide on three priorities for your big day, and have your partner do the same! Main topic: Today's main topic is all about managing your wedding budget, which is easier said than done! We’re not ones to advocate cutting corners when it comes to wedding planning - treating your favourite people to an elaborate day out is going to be expensive, whatever way you slice it! - but hopefully this chat will help you identify areas where you’re willing to spend less. It's also chock full of practical wedding money saving tips, which you'll probably thank us for 12 months after your wedding! Wedding dilemma: A listener writes, “My significant other and I are going for a DJ only. Any ideas on what we could do to entertain our guests in the between time of the DJ playing and after speeches are done? We're eating beforehand. We definitely don't want a band, and are kinda stumped with what to do. We may get a talented singer who will sing a few songs, but I was thinking something hands-on would be nice for guests. If I’m right, there should only be about 30 to 45 minutes of down time." Our ideas include hiring an instrumental group, a magician, or a caricaturist, or organising a photo booth. We also recommend re-evaluating your need for post-dinner entertainment at all! Something to do when you're not planning your wedding: In this episode, Celina's recommending the Be Kind Rewind video essays on YouTube, which tell the fascinating stories behind some of the most hotly-contested Best Actress Oscar races in history.
