Episode #49 with Stuart Braithwaite from Mogwai

In Episode 49 Derek is joined by Scottish multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter Stuart Braithwaite from the post rock band Mogwai. Stuart talks about his early years growing up in Lanarkshire, picking up his first instrument at school in Strathaven and the influence his high school music teacher had. The pair talk about the way the British Government view the creative industries and the importance of these industries, how Mogwai and other musicians have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and the future of live music. Stuart talks about Mogwai's touring and recording schedule, their support for Scottish independence and his love for skateboarding.
