Tenga Rangitauira: Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Ruamata head coach on the school's hockey team making history at the Rankin Cup

The elite national secondary schools hockey tournament, the Rankin Cup, was held in Wellington last week. Bay of Plenty school Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Ruamata made history as the first Māori immersion school ever to feature at Rankin Cup. Incredibly, the school has a roll of just 200 and just 36 high-school aged boys to choose from for the team- and in their first match they beat last year's finalists St Andrews College.
