Once these are noticed and we realize that we need to get back on track, we must then turn towards a single remedy for assistance. But, Patañjali continues taking us even further into the world of obstacles. Before he enumerates a host of various ways to regain our balance, he shows us how to become immune to all of this chaos in the first place - by the cultivation of maitrī (loving-kindness), karuṇā (compassion), mudita (joyousness) & upekṣa (even-mindedness) our mind & our experience of life becomes saturated with grace.
