‘Equal pay for equal work’ is the basic principle which regulates the wage structure. This means that both men and women should get equal pay for equal work in a work situation in the absence of any other justifiable reason.👏  However in reality, differences exist at ground level in almost all spheres be it a family, a business entity or in society in general.😐  When this difference in pay occurs just because a person is a male or a female, it leads to gender pay-gap.
