S2E4: On the Art of Learning Through Experience

It seems to me that our lives are nothing if not a constant education. From our first breath to our last, we are students in the great classroom of existence, where experience is both teacher and curriculum. I have often observed in myself and others this curious phenomenon: that which we learn through books and instruction may impress the mind, but that which we learn through direct experience impresses the soul. This observation has led me to reflect upon the nature of experiential learning—that mode of education which comes not from the scholar's desk but from the dusty roads of life's journey.
