Podcast #70: June, 1988 Part V

Still another segment from the session that was either June 15th or the 22nd, 1988 (I’m not sure, because the tapes aren’t labeled).  We were joined by a second banjo player, Bill Payne, in addition to the usual group: Jimmy Mazzy (banjo/vocals), Fred Lind (cornet), Paul Meymaris (clarinet), John Kafalas (trombone), Don Frothingham (piano), Stu Grover (drums), and an unidentified harmonica player. The tunes are “I’ll Be A Friend With Pleasure,” “Limehouse Blues,” and a blues, the title of which is unknown to me. Send questions or comments to [email protected].
