In odd-numbered years, August and November are reserved for special elections in Missouri. This year, St. Louis County had a small county election (just over 8% turnout), but many counties did not (including Boone County) so we took the opportunity to observe and learn. It also gave us the chance to ask some pressing questions to employees from four different offices.
