Karl Kapp is a professor of Instructional Technology at Bloomsburg University. He is also the author of five books on the convergence of learning and technology, including The Gamification of Learning and Instruction, and is one of the first published authors on the topic of gamification. Currently Karl is working on a field book about The Gamification of Learning and Instruction which will be published in early 2014. In the third episode of our Game Changer miniseries, Karl explains the importance of gamification from both a learning and a consumer perspective, and outlines the development of the gamification industry.
