“Let Go”—that saying sounds so strong. Holding on to my pain has almost become my life's song. Letting go of my painful thoughts would probably feel like cutting off a piece of me. Oh God, it has become part of me, can't you see? I now realize that it's because of the feeling of security that comes with it. “Go, go!”, my inner child shouts, “Don't even try to show me a different way! I love this so much!” When really, there are so many better, easier, lighter ways.
