Chapter 36 – Second Year – Love & Marriage

Remus continues researching magical marriage laws to help Sirius escape his unwanted engagement to Narcissa. While searching the library, he unexpectedly encounters Narcissa, and the two begrudgingly realize they’re working toward the same goal — finding a way out of the betrothal. Later, Remus, James, and Sirius discuss Black family traditions, including arranged marriages and rebellious relatives, while Sirius vents his frustration about his parents’ expectations. Determined to help his friend, Remus resolves to dig deeper, even into the restricted section, convinced there must be a way to break the engagement.
